I have been thinking about moving our rather large vBulletin/Vault Wiki site to the cloud to better support our distributed organization. Is that possible?
Is anyone running Vault Wiki with a cloud based vB5? Does the cloud even support mods to vBulletin?
I am jus starting to look into this and need some pointers.
I don't believe that vB5 cloud allows mods, but you would have to confirm with vB's customer support. On the other hand, we do not support regular (non-cloud) vB5 at this time, either. Due to the small number of sites that use vB5, there is not a high incentive for us to support it in any near future.
Please research this decision well. vbulletin 5 is not suited for a big board. Years after release its still not labelled Gold and I dont think it ever will be quality. Its not used by many because most webmasters that try it, realize quickly that it was a massive mistake. And then move back to vb3/4 or move to another platform. Mostly XenForo which was created by the original vbulletin developers.Quote:
