Attachment without a image thumb

Is it possible to insert an attachment to a articel without a image thumb but alternate with a link?

Otherwise, if it's attached to the article directly, you'll have to insert it inline using vBulletin's tools and I'm not sure if they have a no-thumbnail variation.
