Sytem requirements? php version required? mysql version required, webspace required?
This info has been added to the product page and will be in the next version of the ZIP. However, these are only the specs that the product have been tested on and confirmed working at this point in time.
Do you have a list of all the new BB codes and info on how to use them?
I've been testing with the old nuwiki codes but they don't seem to function on your version
The old NuWiki codes only function if Legacy Codes are enabled. Enabling this option is not recommended because it results in a serious hit to performance.
Until the Help namespace is populated in 2.1.0, I will post a Sticky in the VaultWiki Usage Questions forum (when we add the forum) that will list the default VaultWiki BB-Codes.
Regarding the "Page Title in URL" feature, do you have any plans to make this more SEO/user friendly, and MediaWiki consistent? (For example, instead of vault.php?egg=CES+VaultWiki, why not /wiki/CES_VaultWiki ?)
While we have had no plans to do so (we were quite satisfied will the customizeable titlevar and we would not end up switching the method on our own server), that would be easy to implement as a feature in the future, or even as an addon using existing VaultWiki hooks. If you are serious about this request, please repost it in the appropriate VaultWiki feature request area, so that it does not get lost in this thread.
While you've made ever such a fair and open comparison with Nuwiki, it wouldn't hurt anyone for you to point out that VaultWiki is actively developed, so that it continues to be compatible with the latest Vbulletin versions, without requiring user tweaks/hacks.
Is there any way to upgrade from the Standard to the Premium package?
I never downloaded the premium at the time as the software was very new, but now that it's working pretty good I'd like to update it a bit :)
I will have to set up an Upgrade option. Give me a day or two to put this together.
(I think) you should be able to do this now from the product page. Let me know if this works. If not, PM me.
What is the difference between the standard and premium version?
Is there a demo of this setup anywhere? Possibly using the default vB style?
Please follow this link for the front-end demo area on this site: http://www.crackedeggstudios.com/forumdisplay.php?f=109
You will have to use your imagination for the style bits.
Thanks for the reply Pegasus. My members are requesting that I setup a wiki for the community. Is there a version of VaultWiki that can be used for testing prior to committing to purchasing it? If/when we so decide to use it on our site I would be more than happy to purchase a full license.
There is a lite version available on vbulletin.org, but I don't recommend using it. Many features are missing, there is very little in terms of the admin interface, and as it was based on an RC version from over 6 months ago, there are probably a lot of bugs in it.
The link I provided to you should allow for testing of most non-admin features. If you have questions, you can post in the "Usage Questions" forum.
Vaultwiki 3 is on the way.
It is a powerful wiki.
