NuWiki has a nice feature comparison of their integrated vBulletin product with the MediaWiki bridge. Is there a comparison of VaultWiki features with MediaWiki? All I can see is a comparison of standard and premium VaultWiki packages.

Any comparison of VaultWiki to a MediaWiki bridge would look similar to NuWiki's, except that VaultWiki even has additional features over NuWiki. There was not a comparison to any bridges because until about a month ago, there were no active vBulletin-MediaWiki bridge projects. We do not have a comparison to general wiki products at this time because VaultWiki isn't exactly in the wiki business, it's a vBulletin addon that happens to be a wiki.
So reading the NuWiki comparison, the only major feature present in MediaWiki but not supported by NuWiki is multiple categories per article. I guess the same limitation applies to VaultWiki?
Unrelated question - does article revision history implementation use vBulletin's post edit history feature?
VaultWiki supports multiple categories per article in the Premium version.
Article revision history does not use vBulletin's post edit history. Revision history effectively replaces post edit history on wiki pages. Revision history was written before vB's was implemented, and tracks extra information that post edit history doesn't. Post edit history is not handled via data manager, making revision history more extensible.
Another question - I see that VaultWiki Lite modifies functions.php during the installation. Does the full version of VaultWiki require any original file edits?
No. VaultWiki Lite was written almost 2 years ago. There is almost no resemblance anymore between the two products. VaultWiki full has not required or performed file edits, as far as I know since version 2 went gold in 2008.
