Hi there,
I was wondering if you are planning to port/support installation on vBulletin 4 when it comes out.
Wondering if you already have access to the beta-program...

Yes, we are planning a port to vBulletin 4. As mentioned in a number of our blogs and random posts, VaultWiki 3.x series will only be compatible with vB 4 on.
AFAIK, vBulletin 4 is still in alpha testing (they seem to be at least a month behind the timeline discussed in the leaked screenshots). We hope to have our hands on the beta when it's ready, but it's still up to Jelsoft or whoever to decide that we are worthy enough to have it at that time.
I hoped you as plugin developer had signed up for the closed 'beta' phase, to give you a possibility to convert your product. I know some other developers did. As far as I know vB4 will be released this week to the general public (July 15), with no beta phase at all. But it could be that this date has been pushed back.
Yes, we have signed up for the closed 'beta' phase, but this is no guarantee that we will actually be included. The date you are referring to is based on screenshots taken back in May, and this date has been pushed back. They are now hoping for general public release in mid August-September.
EDIT: According to this, they are about 5 weeks from even the private alpha that was supposed to start a month ago - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=313353
How are things going with the vBulletin 4.0 compatible version of VaultWiki?
No update yet. As mentioned above, we weren't part of the alpha team. vBulletin 4.0 beta has not been released yet - supposedly it'll be out in about 10 days. We can't begin working on compatibility until then.
Any news on vb4 ? Today I registered to the vaultWiki. Now I´m asking myself - will this license be active and valid for the 3.x series ?

Marv.
Of course - if you are in need of some beta-testers, hit me back.
The only changes were are making involve ending a sale we had been having, and merging the addons into the main product. The details are discussed here: http://www.vaultwiki.org/articles/39/
Pegasus,
how are things goin ? Are you guys ready with a version for vb4.0 ? As announced vb4.0 goes gold in early december and I am uprading in the moment gold is out. At this time I would be in need of a working Vault..

Marv.
Any news on that ? The vb4 release date is coming closer each and every day..

How are things going with the vBulletin 4.0 compatible version of VaultWiki? May be you can provide us something like a roadmap or an ETA?
Is it possible to have vaultwiki run as a tab in vBulletin 4 ?
Are there any limitations ?
Our progress and ETA were given in the thread mentioned above. Basically, we now have a version that's ready for public testing - we just have to run a few more tests ourselves to make sure the installer/upgrader has been properly written. As it was developed under vBulletin 4, we also want to first make sure that it still works under earlier versions.
While this is all stuff that can be determined within a day, what's really holding us back now is that vB has not come out with something called the "Graphics Developer Kit". This is a pack of layered Lightwave and Photoshop files that can be modified to create custom images and styles in the same style as the rest of a vBulletin installation. They have released these kits for every version in the past, but there is none yet for vBulletin 4. As you can expect, this means that some elements of VaultWiki still look a little off because we can't update many of the graphics.
Unfortunately this is out of our hands and we just have to wait.
