Vaultwiki as blog-system
Hi,
i'am using the betterblogs-addon for xenforo. It seems that this addon isn't really developed further...
My idea: Use Vaultwiki as a blog system for xenforo
On my site i will use an area for blogging: http://geislingen.net/wiki/Blog (New articles prevent for collaboration use)
@pegasus:
What do you think about this idea - can we make this to a project/feature for vaultwiki?
I think there are lot of people searching for a blogging-solution...
greetz,

Yes, that was one of the ideas when we added Feeds. If you make a personal feed and name it "hollosch's blog", and all the articles you add to your feed are posted by you in the blog area (where new articles prevent collaboration), then you have full control of the content in the feed and can use it as a blog.
The only thing that I think is really missing to make this great and start advertising VaultWiki as a blog software too is a page that lists updated personal feeds for every user together. This kind of page would let new users discover blogs by different people especially when they don't know what authors or topics to look for. Right now the only way to find personal "blogs" is to visit that person's profile and click "See this user's feeds".
We were going to make a tutorial about how to setup the wiki as a blog when that blog-list was done, but it seems like you are figuring things out already.

This sounds good!
I have many ideas what features such a blog-tool should have...
Maybe you can add a category "blogging" in the project-tools vor vaultwiki, so we could send feature requests, bugs, etc.
Example(s):
The RSS-feature i told you would be great for a personal blog/feed
