While the wiki is now fully installed and functional, you only have a single landing page that welcomes visitors to your wiki. Before you can create any additional wiki pages, you need to create a container where you can save those pages. In VaultWiki 4, we call those containers "Wiki Areas."

To create a Wiki Area, you will need to access the VaultWiki Admin Panel. Accessing the Panel differs among forum softwares:
  • In vBulletin's AdminCP, go to VaultWiki > Admin Panel.
  • In XenForo's Admin Control Panel, go to Home > VaultWiki.

In the VaultWiki Admin Panel, go to Structures > Area Manager. This page normally shows a list of all Areas in the wiki, along with tools to modify them. On a new installation, this list should be empty, so click the "Add Area" link.

An overlay called "Adding New Area" should appear. Under "Structural Options," enter a Title for your new Area. Keep in mind that this Title must be unique, so you will not be able to create any wiki pages with the exact same name. The Title will be used to identify the Area on the wiki index and will appear at the top of the Area's landing page.

You can take a look at the other options in the overlay and set them however you wish, but the only required field is the Title. When you are ready, click "Save" to create your new Area.

You should now be able to visit your new Area in the wiki, and from there, start creating new wiki pages.
