Some sites may already have a wiki with another product that they wish to import into VaultWiki. If VaultWiki doesn't have an automated importer for your particular product, you can copy and paste your existing articles in VaultWiki.
Note: | If you have to perform a copy and paste import, you should help other future migrations by requesting an import script in the VaultWiki Requests area on the Cracked Egg Studios web site: http://www.crackedeggstudios.com/projects/6/ |
NuWiki
If you would like to transfer your NuWiki data into VaultWiki, perform the following simple steps.- In your AdminCP, open CES VaultWiki > Wiki Importer.
- Where it asks to "select a product", choose "NuWiki".
- Click "Import" and continue through the wizard to the end.
- Open CES VaultWiki > Wiki Article Tools.
- Under "Convert Legacy Code to BB-Code", select to Convert from "NuWiki", and click "Convert Articles".
- Follow the instructions provided with NuWiki to uninstall it.
If you would like to transfer your MediaWiki data into VaultWiki, perform the following steps.- Make sure MediaWiki is installed in the same database as vBulletin. If it's not, you will first need to use your server's tools to backup the MediaWiki MySQL data and transfer it to your vBulletin database.
- In your AdminCP, open CES VaultWiki > Wiki Importer.
- Where it asks to "select a product", choose "MediaWiki", and click "Import".
- Enter the MediaWiki "table prefix" and "URL path". Make sure the path is correct before continuing, or your existing images may not be correctly imported.
- Proceed through the wizard to the end.
- In your AdminCP, open CES VaultWiki > Wiki Article Tools.
- Under "Convert Legacy Code to BB-Code", select to Convert from "MediaWiki", and click "Convert Articles".
Note: | For performance reasons, old article revisions are not imported from any product. Only the current version of each article is imported. |
