Wiki Article Tools

The Wiki Article Tools allow administrators to perform some miscellaneous maintenance actions on the wiki. It is not recommended to use any of these tools frequently or at all, unless absolutely necessary, as they are all server intensive.
Rebuild Link Cache
Warning! This is incredibly server intensive. If your host keeps track of your resource usage, running this will probably set it off.
Rebuilding the Link Cache parses every single post in the forum, looking for links to wiki articles to track for statistical purposes. It is recommended that you never do this. The link cache will automatically rebuild itself one post at a time as the post cache expires, but if that is not quick enough for your needs, this tool exists.
Because it's so intensive, the tool only processes a certain number of posts before refreshing the page and continuing where it left off. The input field allows you to set the number of posts that will be searched on each page load.
Clean Article Post Cache
This tool is an alternative to rebuilding the Link Cache when there is a statistical error or when you need cached articles to expire quickly. Click "Clean Article Post Cache" to begin the process. However, if you have a very large wiki, it may be less intensive just to disable your post cache globally for several days.
Convert Legacy Code to BB-Code
This tool was broken in 2.2.1. This will convert the wiki markup in your existing articles to VaultWiki's standard wiki codes. This not only parses one article at a time to find existing markup, but uses the slow legacy parsers, making is a very intensive process.
Select the name and version of the product you are importing from so that the tool looks for the appropriate wiki codes.
