Help Forum Settings Viewing Source VaultWiki uses vBulletin forums to store articles for your wiki. In order to operate, the wiki needs at least 1 dedicated "Wiki" forum for each of the following namespaces, should you plan to use them: [list][*]Default - where linkable article content goes [*]Book - where book containers go (see [help=Books]Help:Books[/help]) [*]Header - where forum headers go [*]Help - where your wiki's docs should go [*]Template - where [help=template]templates[/help] go[/list] These settings appear in your AdminCP, if you go to Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager and either Edit a forum or create a new one. [h=2]Forum Link[/h] [image]vw_forum_link.jpg|thumb|right|Forum Link[/image]In wiki forums, the forum link should be the complete wiki URL to an article that will appear instead of the forum's thread list. When clicking the forum's link in the forum list, the article will appear instead. The regular forum view will still be accessible using the corresponding "(List)" links. Users with vbSEO installed may experience difficulty using this feature. In your AdminCP, go to vbSEO -> Control Panel -> Direct Links. Make sure the setting "Replace 'Forum Links' with direct links to target URLs?" is set to "No". [h=2]Enable wiki in this forum[/h] [image]vw_forum_vw.jpg|thumb|right|CES VaultWiki settings[/image] Where it asks "Enable Wiki in this forum," select "Wiki." If you have not configured any namespaces yet, or this forum has "Parent Forum" set to "No One," you will receive an error if you set this to the "Wiki" value. [h=3]Island[/h] A Wiki Island can be any forum except a Top-Level forum that is part of a configured namespace. An Island can have more than 1 article in its forum with the same article title. On the other hand, you cannot link to an article contained in an Island using the namespace link BB-Codes. You can still link to Island articles using the URL tag if you know the direct URL. [h=2]Show wiki headers in this forum[/h] If set to "Yes", forum headers will be enabled for this forum. However, forum headers will not appear until the Header namespace has been configured. Forum headers cannot be enabled for the Top-Level forum of the Header namespace. 2,218 characters
