The Area Manager allows you to create new areas, edit existing ones, change their order of appearance, move them around, and set various rules for content that can appear in each one.

The Area Manager lists all areas in a tree-like view, in their order of appearance. Sub-areas appear as branches of their parents.

Each area in the list offers several tools. To edit an area, click the pencil icon. To change permissions within that area, click the key icon. To remove an area and all of its contents, click the X icon.

Note:The "System" area, designated by a  icon, is a special area that is used internally by VaultWiki. You cannot delete this area.

If the System area ever disappears, there is a problem and you should contact VaultWiki support immediately to minimize damage to your wiki data.

To create a new area, click the "Add Area" link at the bottom of the list.

You can also create a new sub-area by clicking the + icon next to the intended area that should contain the sub-area.

If no + icon exists, you may be able to find an "Add Sub-Area" option by hovering over the desired containing area.
