Please note that throughout these instructions:

FILE refers to the setting value for "Wiki PHP File".

VAR refers to the setting value for "REQUEST Title Variable".

DEFAULT refers to the encoded title of your Default namespace. To determine the encoded title, view the title in parentheses in your Namespace Manager. If there are no parentheses, just the Title will suffice.
-

Visit VaultWiki > Initial Wiki Setup
. In the section called "Mod Rewrite Generator," it asks "What type of rewrite does your server use?" Select the format your server uses. .htaccess is the most common and is selected by default, but your configuration might be different. If you're not sure what to do here, contact your server administrator. -

When you've selected the appropriate Mod Rewrite format, click the "Generate" button. Most setups will show 1 text box - this box shows the contents that must be added to your server's Mod Rewrite settings for the location specified.
If you are using vBulletin 4 Mod Rewrite, this code should be added before the vBulletin 4 Rewrite code.
Some setups will show more than 1 box. In this case, the contents of each box must be added for the corresponding locations. If both boxes actually point to the same directory on your server (like if http://wiki.site.com and http://forum.site.com both point to the main site.com directory), then ignore the first box.
