      Implement XF 2.3 headlines

      Please see:
      https://xenforo.com/community/thread...ro-2-3.217243/
      Anchor links for headings
Every time a heading is used within content, it now has an automatic anchor link generated which can be accessed on hover via the link icon that appears next to the heading:

This will allow you to link directly to headings within your content.
Please consider to implement the XF core functionality for ToC and Header.

The XenForo "HEADING" tag is super primitive compared to VaultWiki's H tag:
      - only supports H2 - H4
      - very basic HTML. Makes it impossible to use for sections, so no collapsible, editable, etc.

It remains to be seen how the heading link will be implemented, but we can surely use the same FontAwesome icon for consistency and any associated UI.
It should also be possible to shoehorn ToC support into HEADING, unless something dramatic changes about the HEADING tag.

Maybe its a good idea to contact XF team on this topic and share your use case and how / what you would like to see implemented for Headings and ToC. It would not surprise me if we would see a ToC implemented in XF3.X.X
Public comments by XF staff about XF3 seem to indicate there will be enhancements to the RTE.

Somewhat implemented in 4.1.8, the next release.
      - The XenForo HEADING tag will be included in a wiki page's TOC. Any mix of H and HEADING will appear in the TOC.

The XenForo HEADING tag does not gain any other functionality from H. Since the XenForo HEADING tag link icon is literally just a jump link, the corresponding icon in H has not been changed from a hash-tag. The H hash-tag icon is actually not a jump link; it contains sharing options. Since these are different functions, it would probably raise confusion to have the same icon used for both, when both could appear in the same wiki page.

      This is marked as completed.
