      article duplication remove or fix
      Duplicate articles are chapters in a book. Tools all give error when trying to fix

      I am trying to review and update our tutorial on creating wiki content. One of the chapters is duplicated with two pages that apparently have the same URL but exist with two different prefixes. I have tried a variety of techniques for correcting this without success.

      The vw admin CP area shows the target URL conflict. I had gotten server errors using the front end tools to try to change the name or remove the chapter from the book with an error message each time that conveyed nothing to me.

      I tried using the facility in the admin CP and got the following more detailed error.

      Code:
      Server Error

      Undefined variable: is_400b5

      XenForo_Application::handlePhpError() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/dm/item/chapter/vw.php at line 708
      vw_DM_Item_Chapter_Controller->delete_multiple() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/dm/vw.php at line 113
      vw_DM_Controller->delete_multiple() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/dm/page/vw.php at line 2169
      vw_DM_Page_Controller->delete_multiple() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/dm/vw.php at line 113
      vw_DM_Controller->delete_multiple() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/cp/conflict/vw.php at line 233
      vw_CP_Conflict_Controller->delete_items() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/cp/conflict/vw.php at line 107
      vw_CP_Conflict_Controller->update() in /home/xfnawcc/public_html/vault/core/controller/cp/conflict/vw.php at line 44
      vw_CP_Conflict_Controller->execute() in vw/XenForo/ControllerAdmin/Wiki.php at line 119
      vw_XenForo_ControllerAdmin_Wiki->actionIndex() in XenForo/FrontController.php at line 351

      This is a duplicate of: https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/5075/
      Which was resolved by 4.0.18.
      I have applied the related fix to your test site.
      Please try to delete the duplicate chapter again.

      The URL duplicate error had disappeared when I looked in the AdminCP.

      When I open the book that held the page as its second chapter, there are two chapter 1's with the second one empty. I deleted the "Writing and Editing" chapter with a hard delete thinking I could put the page back in the book when there was no duplicate, but it appears to be completely gone now.

      This is the link to the "Book" page with the broken table of contents. https://xf.nawcc.org/index.php?wiki/...-Writers-Guide. https://xf.nawcc.org/index.php?wiki/...-Writers-Guide.

      There are lots of images in this set of articles and none of them are visible on the XF site. I am sure that is a separate problem having to do with how the references are set up but I cannot figure it out either. This page shows the failing links with a link instead of an image https://xf.nawcc.org/index.php?wiki/...e-Encyclopedia. Possibly the location of the images has changed between the two file systems.

      IIRC, someone had deleted the attachment directory I uploaded (which took about a week the first time), so I was not able to import any of the images that were inside it.

      I would expect the table of contents to have a blank entry after the error occurred, because you have debug mode active on your site, which would halt execution before the table of contents recalculated. In order to recalculate it now, you will have to use Options > Manage Chapters, and change the Display Order number for any chapter.

      Some folders were moved during the import of the vB attachment system to xf. I think all the contents of vault are still there. Where should they be in the directory structure?

      The folder vb-attach-for-imports that I had made, which had contained both the forum and wiki attachments (and both are necessary for a VW import), is completely empty. Someone moved or deleted the contents, so I could not import them.

      When we asked Slavik to go ahead and import the attachments, he was unable to do so. Probably for reasons similar to the ones that caused you to need a week to move them.

      I moved the attachments into the data folder for him so he could finish setting up XenForo. The other folder was the Vault folder and it has been moved to data also.

      I apologize for messing this up. I thought the vb-attach-for-imports folder was a temporary folder and no longer in use. Can VaultWiki and XenForo both use the attachments in the same location? I can make a copy of all the attachments for VaultWiki now that they are all on the same machine but I would not have thought that necessary. Where should the vault folder be?

      We are planning a final set of imports and going live with the new site the end of July. That event is planned to be a clean install and import of all current content. I have been thinking we might need to move the current site to removable media and mount it on the new machine during that process.

      It does not matter where the source forum attachments and vault attachments folders are, as long as they have been copied somewhere on the new machine and that I am aware of these locations when the final import occurs.

      My understanding for both XenForo and VaultWiki imports is that the person running each import just needs to know the paths of these folders. They do not need to be in a special location.

      It has been difficult juggling all the pieces with with XenForo, Slavik, AndyB, ThemeHouse and VaultWiki as well as 3 tech admins trying to pitch in. Sorry if I complicated things.

      The vault attachments are in the vault folder in public_html/data. The attachments are in the attachments folder in the same public_html/data folder.

      I am trying to recruit an admin to be responsible for the wiki, but have not yet found anyone. We have 12 people scheduled for intensive testing starting 7/2 so I would like to have things pretty much working by then.
