Regression: mass manage pages inline

On category view wiki moderators should be able to select multiple pages and mass move/delete/unapprove those.
This was possible in VW3 on forum display.

There is no regression here. Visit the List tab of the area (View > List of Pages in This Area), which is the equivalent of VW3's forum display. The mass moderation tools are still there.

Is it possible to completely disable the area tab and only show the list tab? This would resolve the issue of people not finding that option.
I do not see the point of the area tab. Am I missing a reason why its there?
