      Failed to install
Error on step 4, blank pages on step 8 and on; forum unreachable after (blank page as well)

So, I found this great looking mod on vBulletin.org and thought it would suit the forum I'm building quite well. I uploaded the files and had my browser go to the proper install url. The first few steps went well, until I got to step 4, which gave me these errors:
      Code:
Warning: Declaration of vB_Database_Alter_MySQL::add_index() should be compatible with that of vB_Database_Alter::add_index() in ..../includes/class_dbalter.php on line 882

Warning: Declaration of vB_Database_Alter_MySQL::add_field() should be compatible with that of vB_Database_Alter::add_field() in ..../includes/class_dbalter.php on line 882

Warning: Declaration of vB_Database_Alter_MySQL::drop_field() should be compatible with that of vB_Database_Alter::drop_field() in ..../includes/class_dbalter.php on line 882

Warning: Declaration of vB_Database_Alter_MySQL::query() should be compatible with that of vB_Database_Alter::query() in ..../includes/class_dbalter.php on line 882
I figured it wasn't quite a big deal, so I copy/pasted the errors into notepad and made a partial screenshot showing the errors, for 'future reference' in case of issues. So basically, I 'ignored' the errors and continued to the next step, as the wizard mentioned 'Please wait' followed by 'Okay', on the next line. Steps 5, 6 and 7 went fine as well, but step 8 gave me a blank page. I tried manually going back and forward in steps, manually adjusting the url to 9, 10, 7 and so forth, but still a blank page. Then I figured, I would get rid of the bad install and start over, so I wanted to go to my forum home, but that results in a blank page as well.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Plus, how can I fix it? As in, can it be fixed with the current install still 'active', or do I have to do a fresh install from a backup? Plus, how do I prevent the same thing from happening again? Has it something to do with the errors I received?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Edit:
I haven't touched any of the files since.

The errors you list above are compatibility errors in vBulletin that they probably neglected to fix with their PHP 5.4 update for vBulletin 4.2.2.

If you got a blank page at Step 8, this is immediately after plugins are enabled. A blank page here usually indicates a database error. This means something in Steps 1-3 did not execute correctly. Check your database error logs for any recent messages.

Recently I have seen errors for "session is full" if the wiki was installed after the forum was disabled for a very long time. This is due to vBulletin leaving users logged in indefinitely while the board is disabled. I think this is a bug in vBulletin, but I just noticed it this past week. For this particular error, you would have to manually clear your session table, and perform a fresh install from a backup.
