Malformed URL in external.php

I'm setting up a twitter account to post new articles via twitterfeed.com, however have noticed that our RSS URL is malformed for wiki threads, whereas they are working for forum threads.

vBulletin had hardcoded the board URL into external.php. They fixed this bug in 4.1.1, which corrects this issue.

Really got to wonder if they've got a clue over at IB.

I'm running running 4.10 PL1, and have now updated external.php to 4.11 however it is still giving an incorrect URL. Guess I'll do the upgrade tonight and see if that resolves it.

Apparently, although they claimed to have finally added support for putting the forums in a different sub-domain in 4.1.1, they did not update external.php with this change, so the same bug still exists. I'm adding a temporary plugin fix to 3.0.10 until they get their act together...

Though.. I'm not running a separate sub-domain if that makes a difference

It doesn't make a difference, but the "fix" I referred to earlier that was supposedly in 4.1.1 was a claim of support for custom forum URLs, including sub-domain support. I created a bug report over at vbulletin.com so they are aware of their mistake: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-11101

Gotta wonder what they're thinking.

I've hacked external.php to remove the baseURL, and additionally I've added a 24 hour delay before articles are shown in the cache. This means when my wiki articles are posted to www.twitter.com/ruggapedia we've had a good chance to complete the article.

I'm using www.twitterfeed.com for the RSS -> Twitter operation.

Happy to share this .php file, not sure if I can post it though as it's based on licensed VB code
