Randomly lost rights on my wiki!

So I was editing my wiki, just updating a page... and then I randomly lost all rights to my wiki.

The EDIT tab, and the PROTECT tab has disappered from each page. Admin accounts, super moderator accounts, registered users, no one can edit any pages anymore.

You mentioned elsewhere that your AJAX tabs weren't working. Is this what you meant, or does this persist for non-AJAX tabs ("Enable AJAX tabs" set to "No")?

      If it persists for both,

Check the bottom of the article (under the contributions area) for the phrase "(protected)". Visit forum display and make sure the article doesn't have the "Closed" icon next to it.

Can you still create new articles?

As far as I know, vBulletin's design won't allow permissions to just change randomly. If it's not any of the above, check Usergroups > Forum Permissions, to make sure that custom forum permissions weren't added for that forum without your knowledge.

No, this error had nothing to do with the AJAX tabs... I already disabled ajax on this mod because of how buggy it is (constant javascript errors). My pages were not protected either, the actual tabs for EDIT and PROTECT themselves disappeared.

I managed to fix it by going into my forums manager, going into my article forum and clicking save. I guess that rebuilt something and opened my wiki up again. It had nothing to do with permissions.

The edit that I had done right as my wiki locked up went into the moderation queue (which I don't use), and I had to approve it. It was in the history list for that specific article, but it did NOT appear in the "Wiki Moderation" section of the adminCP.

This is beginning to sound like something that has been going on for us involving new posts - sometimes new posts are added to the moderation queue, even those made by administrators. Perhaps one of the caches is losing track of the correct permissions set along the way. Was the edit in question one where you renamed an article, or was it a normal edit?

If you've had problems with AJAX tabs, please report the Javascript errors in a separate thread. We're not experiencing these on our site, so it's very possible there is a conflict we don't know about.

I haven't experienced anything remotely like this since the last update. I'm marking this as Fixed.
