      Books and Polls
When creating a book I noticed there was an option to add a poll

I created a test book (with no articles) and on the page to enter in the text i entered in some test information and ticked every box available and selected the option to add a poll.

upon clicking submit the page saved but didn't give me the options for entering in the Poll, so I decided to delete the article and received the following error.
      Code:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function special_editpost_delete_complete() in /home/mywebsite/public_html/forums/vault/tabs/special_tab_edit.php on line 1696
I then created another test book and entered in some test data and selected the option to enter a poll again. Upon submitting it allowed me to enter in the questions and answers for a poll. Upon submitting I received the following error:
      Code:
      Invalid SQL:
      INSERT INTO poll
(question, dateline, active, timeout, multiple, public, position, numberoptions, options, votes)
      VALUES
      	('should books have polls', 1215899882, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 4, 'yes|||no|||what are polls|||every book has a poll doesn\'t it?', '0|||0|||0|||0');

The editpost_delete error was reported about a week ago and has been fixed. I checked and in fact the install file did not add the position column for polls. This has also been fixed.

However, I'm a bit perplexed by the rest. So you changed nothing about the submission, yet for some reason, the second time it went to the edit poll page?

Was anything different about the article submission process the second time around?

ok, If I create a new article and select the option to add a poll and nothing else, it will submit the page and take me to the poll creation page which lets me add a question and answers, Once I submit this page I get the mySQL error above. - The article is created without a poll once I go back to the index.

If I create a new article and select the option to add a poll AND choose to close and stick the post it will take me to the article without the option to add any questions.

In both cases the poll isn't created, the only difference between the two is that i decide to test the close/stick options to the 2nd test.

If you only click "Stick after creation," the poll form loads as expected. If you select the "Close after creation" option...

Default vBulletin behavior makes it impossible for users to vote on a poll in a closed thread.
If you post a thread in a default vBulletin forum, check to add poll and also close, you are simply redirected to the new thread, because it is pointless to create a poll after a thread is closed.

Not much I can do about that. If you want to take it up with Jelsoft you can.

Marked as fixed as per the DB error portion of this report.

      which does make sense

It's the database error that concerns me the most, thanks for fixing.
