      Bad Custom bb code examples
      The examples shown in custom bb codes for two of the Vault Wiki generated entries are broken.

      I was checking some other codes when I noticed that two of the codes seemed to be badly parsed in the examples.

      Code:
      for wiki (Title = Encyclopedia)
      wiki="example"]view this articlewiki]

      and for island

      [=Example]Click here to view this page![/]
      I have not noticed any problems from these, but they may indicate a problem with the xml file.

      If you have extra Island entries in your Namespace Manager, you should delete them. This is not possible under normal usage and will only happen if you run certain parts of the upgrader multiple times.

      I seem to recall running step 5 or something like that several times on the last upgrade.

      Should I also delete the badly formed bbcode?

      Should all the namespaces have bb codes. i.e. the code main is used for the namespace Vault Wiki, which has the title Encyclopedia; but main does not appear in the list but the broken code shown above does appear. I have deleted the two excess islands and rebuilt all namespaces.

      If you have a badly formed BB-Code, yes, delete it. Island isn't supposed to have a BB-Code.

      Malformed BB-Codes occur if you change a wiki code to accept an option parameter via the BB-Code Manager, or if you change the title, displaytitle, or BB-Code tag for a namespace after its initial creation. In this case the BB-Code gets duplicated the next time you save a namespace and only 1 version ever gets updated.

      Fixed for the next build.

      I deleted the excess island code but the namespaces and codes are still not working exactly right.

      My sandbox namespace for example is set to display order 0 for both the forum and the namespace, but its articles are showing up in the Encyclopedia (Vault Wiki - Main bb code).

      The main code has a strange replacement value of [book=%2$s]{param}[/book]. I edited it to make the example meaningful, but I did not change the replacement code, although it looks incorrect.

      I also still have spurious duplicate urls and problems have shown up in trying to write some table management templates. Plus we still get the database error when trying to display Special: Allpages.

      Is there some way to do a general cleanup, or will this all get fixed in the next release. I think some of my anomalies have come from the previous hiccups in the install.

      This will all get fixed in the next release. While some anomalies are due to the install hiccups (the excess islands), the Allpages issue and the BB-Code problems are deeper problems that will require the update to correct.

      We wanted to have this out last Monday, but then vBulletin released 3.8.4, so we had to push it back a few days to fix some compatibility issues.

      In the mean time, you can edit the BB-Codes manually using vBulletin's BB-Code Manager.

      Your sandbox namespace is not showing up in your encyclopedia category. That is a forum called "Go Sandbox" that has a forum link (it redirects) to the sandbox namespace. If you don't want this there, you should delete "Go Sandbox" or change its Display Order to 0.

      I don't understand how to fix the bb codes that you generated during install and are now broken.

      An example of the code for one that is working is:
      Code:
      <a id="autolink___9" class="new" href="http://mb.nawcc.org/showwiki.php?title=Development:Example" title="Development:Example (not yet written)" rel="nofollow">Click here to view this page!</a>
      The main wiki namespace bb code that is called main has the following code displayed in the bb code manager.
      Code:
      [wiki=&quot;example&quot;]view this article[/wiki]
      I don't know where to do the edits to make this code right. Can I just delete it and rebuild the namespace to recreate it?

      Yes. You can delete it and rebuild the namespace. But make sure you only rebuild the namespaces that you deleted the BB-Codes for, or you could just run into this problem again.

      Thanks, that worked just fine, but it does not automatically replace the button image in the editor. It might be useful to have that information stashed somewhere that the code could grab it.

      Ah, good catch. I'll add that to the upgrade script.
