Xenforo editor shows Category:Demo as Category????emo when reopened

If we create a page that contains for example:

Code:

[file]Image:Death|none[/file]

Then when opening the page again it renders it as

Code:

[file]Image????eath|none[/file]

Luckily this is just visual, and it doesn't break when saved, but it would be good if it was possible to prevent it from replacing those emojis when it is part of another BB-code tag. Especially for our forum members that are not 100% tech-savvy and might get confused..

Fixed in the next release. In src/addons/vw/vw/_core/model/parser/sideways/wyswiyg/xf2.php, find:

$this->_parser->removeTag($tag);

Replace with:

			$this->_parser->modifyTag($tag, [
				'replace' => null,
				'callback' => null,
				'trimAfter' => 0,
				'stopBreakConversion' => false
			]);
