      Odd category reference
      An empty category reference (:)

There is a colon at the top of one of our categories. I do not know how it got there or how to get rid of it. The link associated with it goes to the image shown below along with a clip of the page.

This probably came about when I was experimenting with expanding categories with redirects.

      The misbehaving page is http://mb.nawcc.org/showwiki.php?tit...ry:Watch+Cases

Yeah that would probably explain it. Although the link would have error'd and not have been added if the title was blank like that. You can remove the ':' link by running the following query:
      Code:
      DELETE FROM vault_link
      WHERE title_lower = ''

Odd. When I ran the query it said there were no such records and when I looked, the colon was gone. ???

However, looking at vault_link, I noticed that two titles that had been entered in error and removed some time ago (a few weeks), still have entries in vault_link. Is there any harm in removing these by just deleting the entries with SQL? i.e. are those the only bad stale data created? Is there a better way to get rid of them?

There are 2,843 entries of "dials" and "english."

If they were entered in error then you should removed them. If these were added because you have a lot of "dials" and "english" autolinks throughout your forum, then these will be cleaned over time anyway, but you can do it now if you want.
