Issue: Upgrade Failed

Ok so this was odd and never saw this before but...

The Plugins page showed VW at 4.0.22 So I am assuming this is where it stopped.
I disabled the plugin, re-enabled it and ran the upgrade script again. I kept doing this until I got to 4.0.24
Then after that it upgraded all the way to the end.

Weird. Did you have no errors in your logs? Possibly an upgrade script or two was timing out?

From the looks of it, 4.0.23-4.0.24 upgrade scripts contained a large number of queries designed to improve performance of various MySQL tables. It is possible that if you have a sufficiently large database and/or the targeted tables contained a large amount of data, then those changes could take a long time and potentially not complete before the 15-second AJAX timeout on the install page (you might see relevant "slow queries" in your logs). If that is all that happened, then I think it should be fine. The scripts were acknowledging those MySQL tables as potential sources of slow queries and attempting to improve them.

Nothing in the log files that I was able to point towards any issues. The server is private/dedicated to my one site with more than enough resources (I have had up to just under 12,000 concurrent users and it never missed a beat)... I even closed vBulletin down during the upgrade process just so there were no database contentions.

Oh well, just one of those things I guess...
