Replace Rating radio select with default XF rating interface.

The rating interface makes use of radio select toggle. This looks quite outdated. Please replace this with the default XenForo Font Awesome rating interface. This looks better and only takes 1 line instead of 5.

The screenshot you took is from XF 2. The wiki rating interface already uses the XF 2 rating select style under XenForo 2 (via rating_macros). It's working on my XF 2 board.

In XenForo 1 this is not possible due to the default rating interface not having support for a rating reason, and the Javascript for the interface not saving the reason field if it's added by template modification. Also you refer to Font Awesome, but XenForo 1 doesn't use Font Awesome at all. Resource manager works around the interface issues by not allowing you to choose the rating in the reason dialog (extra clicks).

Maybe we could write a unique rating style and Javascript for XenForo 1.x, but it doesn't seem worth it right now.

Since 4.1.x is locked, we will not be developing unique rating styles or scripts for a single platform at this time. In locked versions, we tend to make significant changes like this only when there is a functionality or security break. The current design is functional and there is no security implication.

Also note, that since XenForo 1.x is already EOL by its developers and with a newer version that we already support, we intend to remove XenForo 1.x support in the next branch (4.2.x). As a result, this request is now moot, since XenForo 2.x already does what this request is for. So this request is closed as Rejected.
