This issue had to do with terms that were auto-links that contained shorter terms that were also auto-links. In this case, the internal tagging mechanism was not resolving correctly when the closing element was encountered. Fixing this issue required a major refactor of the autolink code, which is now in effect on your site. So far there appears to be no unintended side effects of the change across platforms, so the fix will be included in the next release.
