      Move namespace display forum
Moving and renaming a namespace - database error

I tried to define a sub-namespace to put a wiki area into a subforum of one of my existing forums. i.e. display this piece of wiki there. I thought I had just named a child of the namespace I was calling Base (Wiki Base). I called the child Dev.

When I completed the edits, Base had the title Dev but was still associated with the top level forum Wiki Base. I figured I was just confused. The wiki seems functional when viewed in its display location, but we keep getting this database error:
      Code:
      Database error in vBulletin 3.8.1:

It sounds like you did something pretty complicated. I am not sure what options you were actually modifying. Can you please enumerate the steps you performed?

The forum I called wiki base was the namespace of the same name. I had some articles in it.

It was displayed in a private committee forum, so wiki base appeared as a wiki container at the top of that forum.

I wanted to create another related container and put it in a different more accessible forum. I created the child namespace Dev from Wiki Base.

When I looked at the namespace control panel, wiki base had been renamed to Dev. There was no child namespace. I am not sure how a child namespace would be displayed.

I decided to not worry about that and just change the display location of what had been Wiki Base and was now Dev to the other forum.

Now any time I read an article in the wiki base/dev forum in its new display location, the database error occurs.

It was not clear to me from the instructions that I needed to create a child forum from the top level forum of a namespace in order to create a child namespace. I presume that is what I did wrong.

You have full admin access to my site that I gave you several weeks ago if you want to look at it there.

By the way there is no attachment button or link in this editor either or I could show you the screen shots.

If the wiki seems to be functional, then I suppose you can just consider this learning how namespaces work.

The database error is unrelated to the actions you made (although it could have been agitated by it). The DB error occurs when a user has recently modified their signature and comments on a wiki article. If their signature was not recently added to the sig cache, this error will occur. Fixed in the current ZIP.

      In vault/tabs/special_tab_discussion.php, find:
      PHP Code:
      $saved_parsed_sigs_query
      Replace with:
      PHP Code:
      $save_parsed_sigs_query
As for the editor button, this is a vBulletin project tools area, so there is no attachment button in the editor itself. You would upload an attachment to the thread as a whole using the form at the bottom of the thread view (below the quick reply).
