Fatal Error: Class 'vw_DB' not found

Just upgraded to 4.0.6. Disabled vaultwiki temporarily to test something, and when I searched the admin cp I got a few instances of the below error in my error log.
      Code:

Thanks. It seems this issue has been here since admin search integration was added, some time in RC. In RC it was partly fixed, but it still occurs for super admins (whose IDs are whitelisted by config.php). I will work on a solution for those users.

      Hi Pegasus,

I have an old version of VW on my site which is disabled because I no longer use it, however I still have the above issue of my admin search not working and this error popping up when I do try to use it.

Did you ever find a fix for this problem?

According to the report metadata, the error was resolved for super-admins in 4.0.7. It occurred while VaultWiki was disabled in earlier versions. It did not occur while VaultWiki was enabled.

If you have VaultWiki disabled, but intend to use it again in the future, then upgrading to a newer version should resolve this error. If you have VaultWiki disabled, but do not intend to use it again, then uninstalling VaultWiki should resolve this error.

Please note that versions earlier than 4.0.8 are no longer supported and we cannot post patch instructions for unsupported versions: https://www.vaultwiki.org/pages/Book...-Vulnerability

      Thanks for the reply.

Before I uninstall, is there anyway to back up all the entries I have made just incase I want to go back to it in the future?

Keep a database backup. You can import from it later.

I've gone ahead and uninstalled VailtWiki, however the problem still occurs.

      Any suggestions at all?

      Thanks in advance

It sounds like you were using version 4.0.1 or earlier than that. There were some known bugs in the uninstall process of very early versions like that.

Note that if you are still seeing the above error, then you have not finished all the uninstall steps either. You still must remove all of the VaultWiki files from your system or attackers might be able to exploit vulnerabilities even though it is not installed in the Add-On Manager. Looking at XenForo's code, it will not attempt to run any admin-search handler that does not exist on the file system.
