Display/template issues with XenForo 1.4.5 upgrade
Many styling and display problems after upgrading to XenForo 1.4.5

Hello, We upgraded our XenForo install to 1.4.5 tonight, and upon doing so, noticed that it had mangled a lot of the VaultWiki styling and page display.

      For instance:

      - All of the drop down or tabbed menus in pages and categories are now gone - links are simply shown in an unstyled list.
      - Page headline titles became tiny and very light in color.
      - The breadcrumb text size decreased significantly.
      - A "subscribed" checkmark now shows up in an awkward place right under the headline title
      - Custom hyperlink text colors have been reset to default, while the old template style is still there but no longer controls these elements
      - The "created by" and "last updated by" item at the bottom of pages is completely mangled

Furthermore, I cannot seem to control the elements to fix the problems via the VW templates, it is as if some of the page elements (divs and classes) have been renamed so that parts of the old style sheets/templates no longer work.

We originally applied some very simple style edits to the VW templates (adjusting header size and color, hyperlink colors, etc). The XenForo 1.4.5 upgrade has affected both those and many things we have never touched in the templates (like the menus).

I do not know if this is a XenForo issue or not, but are crossposting on both Xenforo and VW forums to see if we can figure out what to do.

I figured this out. The new Xenforo update completely wiped out the call-ins for the Vaultwiki style sheet files. The temporary fix is ugly - I had to manually copy-and-paste ALL of the vaultwiki styles (the contents of EVERY vw .css file in the templates) into the main Xenforo header style sheet file "header.css". This means the Vaultwiki styles are being called in sitewide - a waste of resources, but necessary to fix the Wiki.

This is something that Xenforo needs to address with their latest update - we will take it up on their end. It is something that other users will probably run into, so hopefully this post will be helpful.

The call-ins for the VaultWiki style-sheet files all appear in VaultWiki source files. They are not specifically templated anywhere. I'm not so sure where the problem lies but I am updating our demo to XenForo 1.4.5 now to see what happens.

Updated to XenForo 1.4.5 without any issues. I suspect that perhaps the style rebuild didn't finish when you upgraded.

      Try visiting /install/index.php?upgrade/
      Then click "Rebuild Master Data"
