It would be nice to have a "moderation-button" or a "moderation-tab" to manage the comments.

To clarify, I think this refers to the fact that when the Previewed Discussions list for a page does not exceed the Number of Previewed Discussions setting, there is no link to "View All Discussions". Because the moderation controls exist on the link's target page only, there is no obvious way to approve, delete, etc the discussions. When viewing the discussions directly, there is no link to approve a moderated discussion.

      It is important that:
      - Moderation controls appear on the previewed blocks
      - It is possible to perform any moderation action for a discussion node while viewing that discussion

Today, the following has been fixed:
      - It is possible to perform any moderation action for a discussion node while viewing that discussion

I have also noticed that there is also no link to edit a discussion (e.g. to fix typos in the title/description) while viewing a discussion.

      Yesterday, the following was fixed:
      - There is now a link to edit a discussion while viewing that discussion.

Today, the following has been fixed:
      - There are now moderation controls for previewed blocks in vBulletin.

      There are some caveats:
      - The previewed block for books uses a cached result set. It would not be possible to add moderation controls and keep it cachable. This will probably be changed when we make some design changes to books in 4.1. This will not be changed as part of this report.

      - XenForo only supports 1 inline moderation form per page using XenForo's default inline moderation code (there are hard-coded form IDs in templates and Javascript files). So in order to add inline moderation to previewed blocks on XenForo, we will need to reinvent the wheel a bit by using custom inline moderation templates and Javascript files. For the case of the previewed discussions block, an inline moderation form is usually already in use on that page for the main string of comments.

Implemented in the next release. We now provide dedicated inline moderation templates, CSS, and Javascript for XenForo so we don't have to rely on the flawed platform inline moderation system.

We now have cross-platform inline moderation on list-preview blocks. When there are multiple blocks with inline moderation on the same page, they don't interfere with each other.
