Had to uninstall and reinstall (lost the entire contents of the Wiki, fortunately not too much done) and reinstalled. That worked, fresh install.

The specified add-on does not match the add-on you chose to upgrade.

This is not an error message from VaultWiki.

It sounds like it may be an error message from the XenForo addon called "Addon Install & Upgrade". That add-on does not support upgrading VaultWiki. For performance reasons, VaultWiki does not put all of its upgrade instructions inside a single XML file.
