Category assignment database error

When assigning a category to an article as database error is produced

The article ID is not found/used by the category assignment query with the following error reported.

Inserting the category with the category bbCode works fine but the tool below the edit window fails.

Database error in vBulletin 4.2.2:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT categoryitemid FROM `vw_categoryitem` WHERE pageid =  AND itemcategoryid = 4277;

The category BB-Code doesn't actually add a page to the category. If you have a category BB-Code, it just makes a link, same as the regular Wiki BB-Code.

This database error was first reported here: https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/4110/
It is fixed in 4.0.0 which is due out today.

I get this error if I try to use the category too below the edit windowl to add a category to any article, not just a new one. I carn put in the fix you describe in the other threqd, but if the 4.0.0 release is available today, I will just use that.
