I've installed and made the initial configuration of VaultWiki and now it's time for the first page. After access the wiki on forum navigation bar (using Xenforo 1.3.5) let's suppose the following scenario:

      1. there are no category
      2. I've just created a area called "Glossary"
      3. Created a page (not a book or category) as:
      - Title: cat
      - Page content: definition of a cat (what a cat is)
      - This page does not belongs to any category
      - On "Treat this page as a:" field, do not marked any option.

OK, all job was done on vaultwiki side.

Back to forum side, I've just created a new thread and post a message with the cat word.

      My questions:
      1) All "Cat" words on all messages posted of all topics on xenforo will be automatically liked/parsed to the Wiki's Cat page?
      1) Should I use wiki bbcodes to "tag" the cat word on my messages?
      2) When I hover the cat word I'd like to see the content of the cat page on wiki, like a tooltip with the definition of this term, you know, not just a link to that page, it is possible?

      Thanks.

      1) Yes, this is available but you might have to turn it on:
-- In Options > VaultWiki: Wiki Links > Enable Auto-Links to Wiki Content. Forum Posts must be checked.
-- In Applications > Display Node Tree, edit the forum where auto-links should show. On the "Forum Options" tab, you should see a setting "Wiki-Related Options: Enable Auto-Links to Wiki Pages".

I think both should be turned on by default, but you can check anyway.

Note that the word "cat" is very short and I think the default settings are to skip words that are less than 4 characters.
You can change it in Options > VaultWiki: Wiki Links > Minimum Characters for Auto-Links.

Autolinks are searched before the post is saved in the cache. If the post is already in the cache, it won't get new autolinks until the cache expires.

      2) It is recommended that you use wiki BB-Codes to tag the cat word. Sometimes the auto-link feature skips some words to save time. Also users have the ability to hide auto-links in their account settings if they think it's annoying. It is mainly to help users who are too lazy to make links or who don't realize they should. If you know you want the link, you should use the tag yourself.

      3) Options > VaultWiki: Aesthetics > Enable AJAX Previews of Wiki Content. Note that the preview will only show if the page isn't empty and the preview would be a reasonable size.

Thank you man, for your quick response. I don't know why but VaultWiki does not appears under the Options menu so I've followed the instructions accessing: Nav bar > Applications > VaultWiki > Admin Panel.

Let me show you some screen shots:

On the "forum options" tab there is no "Wiki-Related Options: Enable Auto-Links to Wiki Pages", where can I find it on VaultWiki's Admin Panel ?

      Forum options:

      AJAX Previews of Wiki Content:

Everything is working - to be honest I'm going to use just 1% of all vaultwiki's features, my goal is to create a Glossary maybe a FAQ, got it?

By the way, how can I "fix" the Vaultwiki under the Options menu and the VaultWiki's options on Forum Options?

My current version is 4.0.0 RC3 patch level 1 - I've removed this version (unistalled and removed the directories), installed the last version (RC5) but the installation does not runs, I got stuck. So I decided to remove the attempt and installed RC3 again - working.

      Thanks a lot!

Did you get any error message when the RC 5 installer got stuck? The layout of the Admin Panel is very different in RC 5. And there are over 100 bugs fixed since RC 3.

If you used to have VaultWiki Lite, make sure your /vault/config.php doesn't have VW_IS_LITE as true. Or you will just be running the full version as the Lite version. If it does, you can just remove that line.
