Upgrade not working because no install directory
Install directory not available because I was told to delete it

      Hello
When I first accessed my new install of the software it said I needed to delete the install directory. I did that.
But then when I tried to upgrade it said I needed the install directory!

What should I do? How do I upgrade now?

The required directory /vault/core/controller/install/ could not be found. Please upload this directory to proceed.

Upload the install directory before each upgrade. Then delete it after.

I suspect there may have been some confusion if you visited the Admin Panel after you uploaded the directory, but before you actually ran the upgrade. In this case, it will tell you to delete the directory again.

But I think it should be able to detect that an upgrade is still pending and instead tell you to continue the upgrade. This would help to avoid that confusion. So I've left this open as a bug.

Fixed in the next release. If an upgrade is pending, the message will not tell you to delete the directory. Instead it will tell you to run the upgrade script. After the upgrade script finishes, this message will change back to telling you to delete the directory.
