Wiki information/intro/wiki/whateever-you-call-it on Groups shows Group ID as pasrt of title

      Example here:

      http://www.enworld.org/forum/group.php?groupid=417

It shows the wiki page name as "Winter Campaign (gid:417)".

(It's a real PITA to add screenshots to these reports, by the way. I have to upload them to my own server first).

Additionally, as reported elsewhere, wiki page titles linked to groups have wonky HTML formatting. Example here:

      http://www.enworld.org/forum/showwik...EIST-Test-Page

It says "This page is maintained by the group 'Morrus' ZEITGEIST Campaign">Morrus' ZEITGEIST Campaign'"

      Some notes:

This issue only applies to groups that were imported from VaultWiki 3. During the import, the title was appended the original ID to avoid conflicts, but the original title should also have been added as:
      Code:
      [var]displaytitle|Title without the ID[/var]
      in the pagetext.

Since the import already happened, there's not much that can be done about it now, aside from going back and either editing the imported titles, or adding the BB-Code exampled above.

Still, this bug report needs to be resolved such that any future import data is not affected in this way.

The wonky HTML was fixed as part of your previous report.

But that's a brand new group, not an imported one.

And the wonky HTML isn't fixed at that link.

Ah, I didn't realize it gets added for new groups as well. In that case, the BB-Code needs to be included automatically whenever a group is created.

You keep saying that. I don't know what it means, but I currently have a wonky site. Could you share the fix?

"Fixed in the next release" means that the source of the problem has been identified and a fix has been generated by developers. The next version that is released will include the fix, so when you upgrade, you will automatically get it.

Some fixes have too many or complicated file changes, or require changes to database entries in multiple tables. Sometimes if there a lot of changes, there can be conflicts with changesets for users on different versions or even slightly different code than the development version (which is always a version ahead). More importantly, it is easy for users to make mistakes with complicated changes (in the past when we posted them, many users ended up breaking their sites), so we don't post manual changes for every bug fix.

Do you know when that will be? If it's more than three weeks, I'll have to give you another $10 to get the issue fixed. Also upgrades of this software aren't a trivial thing; they tend to cause me large amounts of downtime, and I'm not sure I can do that again any time soon.

We typically release a new version every 3 - 4 weeks, with occasional minor updates in between. The VaultWiki Admin Panel should alert you whenever new code is released (but there was a conflict connecting to the server with PHP 5.5+ that is resolved in RC 3).

You are somewhat lucky in that RC 3 was released today, and you are only a few days into your subscription.

That's a spot of luck. Although the thought of attempting that upgrade terrifies me. I'll hold off until I know you're around for if it all goes pear-shaped.
