Columns for forum index

I have just gotten the upgrade to 4x.... still a bit lost and finding my way around.

What I have discovered is that there is no longer a way to put the forumindex pages in column format. So I have a huge string down the page is quite difficult to navigate.

I was also a bit dismayed to see that a lot of the usergroup permissions were reset. Mine is not collaborative wiki, I have editors who do the work. So now I have to go through all of my usergroups and turn off their permissions to create articles etc.

Having said that, I still love this product and I would like to thank Pegasus and the rest of the staff at Vaultwiki for a wonder product and great service/support. And thanks so much for keeping this current for us.

From what I saw of your original Forum Permissions, you may have a lot of meaningless sets that were generated with vBulletin's Create New Forum Based on Forum option.

In the VaultWiki Admin Panel, you should revert any custom permissions that you don't really need (use the Key icons in the Area Manager). From what I have seen of your wiki, the Usergroup Permissions themselves should be sufficient in most cases.

Hummmm, I do not remember ever creating a New Forum based on Forum.

What I am finding on the permissions is that the middle button that is supposed to be No is not always No and that I have to change some of them to No Never. Oh well, things could be a lot worse, for sure! Once I figure it out for one group I can just do the rest of the groups easy enough.
