Unable to edit new pages and/or pages without content

(A thread with the same title appears in the 4.x series forums due to major snafu on my part. Apologies.)

      Hello,

we're a gaming community located at http://www.dieneuewelt.de and I have taken over website and forum/wiki administration just recently.

At http://www.dieneuewelt.de/forum/showwiki.php we have a VaultWIKI containing everything players need to know (section "Handbuch" at http://www.dieneuewelt.de/forum/show...title=Handbuch).

Whenever I create a link to a new page in one of the subpages, I am unable to edit its contents. The "edit" tab is missing (for example: http://www.dieneuewelt.de/forum/show...itle=Schreiben). Editing existing pages does work though. I have searched the admin panel if there are any incorrect properties or permissions but so far I haven't found anything to remedy this.

      Help, please?

      Thanks,
      -Gray

After upgrading to 3.0.20, are there any changes to the bug behavior? Either way, please redescribe the bug as it presents in the new version, in case one of us has overlooked something from the first post.

      Hello,

after updating to 3.0.20 the bug behavior is exactly the same. When in the main section of our WiKi (Handbuch) it is possible to edit existing pages, but impossible to add new pages. This is independent from user group, it's the same for normal users as well as moderators and even admins. There is no "edit" tab in empty pages, button to add new pages is also missing.

When I looked at your site, the "Handbuch" tab is not selected when you visit the wiki. This would make it impossible to view the wiki navigation, including "Post New Article" and "Upload New File". Are you using a mod to manage the navbar tabs on your site? If so, you may have configured the mod incorrectly when you created the Handbuch tab. Otherwise, if you are using vBulletin's default solution, please open the Navigation Manager, check that a "Wiki" or "Handbuch" tab exists, and that it contains links such as "Post New Article".

Unfortunately, 3rd party navigation managers are out of the scope of VaultWiki. They require manual input of navigation entries. You can always compare your entries against the vBulletin Navigation Manager entries to make sure you have them all there, but you still need to make sure the entry is working properly and gets selected when you actually visit the wiki.

As for creating new wiki pages from the forum view, if you have permission to Post Threads in that forum (maybe there are custom permissions for that forum), and check the forum settings to make sure the forum is not closed.
