Allow to add tags to wiki articles

vB has this functionality standard, so would prefer to be able to use it

Result: able to add/remove tags as with normal threads in vB.

As far as I know this functionality has always been there. Have you tried clicking the "Edit tags" button as with normal threads in vB?
