Integration with whats new in XenForo

Currently VW does not seem to be integrated with What's New in Xf. That's a major issue to resolve, because members need to encounter new/updated wikis in their new content stream.

There are two preferred methods of dealing with this:
      1. See: http://xenmediagallery.com/find-new/31055/threads
Add a 'New Wiki' tab to the What's new page.
      2. Show new wikis in the new threads list.

I prefer the first option by far. But if a website only has forum and wiki then option 2 would be the best for such websites. As soon as there are multiple content types, then option 1 is best.

Unfortunately, XenForo does not have a standardized way of integrating with the "What's New" page. While we could add a separate link under the Forums tab (or more semantic, the Wiki tab), the Wiki tab already has a persistent Activity Feed when its tab is open (and the feed enabled). Also, wiki content is already integrated with member activity feeds and "following" feeds in XenForo.

As for what XMG does to solve the What's New problem, this is not a solution that multiple mods can share without causing conflicts with each other (the tabs don't exist in the default XenForo What's New templates). Until XenForo offers a built-in solution for including multiple tabs on this page, or having any tabs at all, we'll have to pass on this particular integration.

Yes, that's correct. I asked about this in the XF forum some time ago. I do not know if Mike has read it, but today he announced this:
Support for tabs on new content pages
For add-on developers, there is now a new system to add tabs to the top of new content pages (such as "new threads"). This will make it easier for users to find updates to non-thread/post content.

1.2 is due for release this month. I think we will see a beta really soon.
So XF 1.2 will have a standarized way of integrating with the what's new page. Please implement this.
