New Forum posts are blank pages

issue with VW 4/Alpha 7 & VB 4.2.1

Hello,

i have a new big issue.

I have updated my system to latest VB 4.2.1

After creating a new thread the page is blank - i have disable VW4 the thread is shown normal and correctly

Please fix this asap ....

If you had < 4.2.0 before, you may need to run the VaultWiki upgrade script.

i had 4.2.0 before i just update from 4.2.0 -> 4.2.1

but i will try the upgrade script - i hope this will fix the bug - i will let you know later

Unfortunatley this does not fix the issue ...

There are still blank pages at new created threads in the forums .... i have also tried with more different browser

If I disable the product vaultwiki everything is show - as well when i click at edit then there is also everything there - but after save again the same result -> blank content ....

please help - thanks

In showthread.php, after the copyright block, add:

@ini_set('display_errors', 1);

This should make the blank page show an error message instead. Please let me know what the error message is.

hello,

i have done this - but where should be the error shown ?!

as well i found that there is also the issue with everywhere � instead of ä, ü, ...

there is still a blank page and i can not see an error - maybe you can see it? i have send you yesterday the link via PM

Have you tried downloading Alpha 7 again from this site and overwriting your files? Maybe there is a file edit somewhere or from a previous bug fix that isn't working anymore. I updated to vB 4.2.1 here and cannot duplicate the issue after posting new threads.

i have done this from your suggestion - but no change

ok i think i have found where the bug is

when i dissable in admincp/Forum Setting -> Wiki Options: Allow Content Integration & Enable Auto-Links to Wiki Pages
the issue is gone - and the Content of the thread is not blank ....

I hope this helps ....

Does this issue persist with Beta 3 or has it gone? Do you have the DBtech User Tagging mod installed? IIRC something similar occurred with VaultWiki 3 and that mod.

unfortunatley it does not - still the same issue - the user tagging is not installed

i have still the Feature for the Forum dissable - but its a shame because that would be a good idea with vaultwiki

maybe the issue will be saved in the future

In Beta 4, we fixed some fundamental issues with the parser and autolinking. Please let me know if the issue still exists in Beta 4.

The issue is still there ....

but an update now after beta 4 - only SOME of the new and old threads are only shown with blank pages when the "Auto-Links to Wiki Pages" is enable

Something of the issues are saved after your changes - but there are still some Problems there ....

I hope there will be a finale fix soon there for this issue

Hi, if you are willing to let me, I would like to debug this issue on your site, since I don't get the issue here. I will add a Pro Upgrade service to the Members area that you can fill out if you want me to try. If you can, please also include a link to a blank page that is caused by this.
