      Problems uploading images to Image Namespace

      I've been testing the image system and have come into a few problems whilst trying to upload images.

      When following the instructions in the Readme file I get an error message (see below) when I try installing the image in a normal forum the image uploads fine, but doesn't seem to want to attach itself to my image namespace forum.

      I get this error message above the filename boxes:
      Code:
      Warning: fopen(http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums/images/vault/cat.jpg) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: HTTP wrapper does not support writeable connections in [path]/includes/class_dm_attachment.php(659) : eval()'d code on line 32
      and I get this message within the upload page:
      Code:
      cat.jpg:
      Failed to write file. Check disc quotas and permissions for the path: ./images/attachments/1
      I have the following paths set in my VaultWiki Images settings:

      Namespace ID = 8
      Path to images folder /images/vault
      path to thumbnails folder /images/vault/thumb
      path to vbulletin http://www.bluedragons.co.uk/forums

      If I've set these wrong then maybe some examples of paths would help in the instructions page?

      I've set all of these paths to 777 full access so that it can read/write and have rebuilt the namespace once the paths were set, but still get the error message above. I also made the file modifications to class_image as mentioned in the installation page but this makes no difference either.

      Please help

      The VaultWiki Images setting "path to vbulletin" should be a server path not a URL.

      Finally worked out the server path thanks to phpinfo so got the image uploading working ok, but have noticed some problems with the css file as it's not using the default forums css

      for my own style i had to edit the following:
      Code:
      div.thumb {
      	margin-bottom: .5em;
      	border-style: solid;
      	border-color: white; (was black)
      	width: auto;
      }

      div.thumb div {
      	border: 1px solid #222;
      	padding: 3px !important;
      	background-color: #FFF; (was 000)
      	font-size: 94%;
      	text-align: center;
      	overflow: hidden;
      }

      I had a go at uploading another image earlier and ran into a problem where it wasn't creating the thumb image. My test image on sunday worked fine yet my image today just wouldn't create the thumb.

      The first time I attempted to upload the image I received this error:
      Code:
      Warning: fopen([path]/forums/images/vault/thumb/sod2.jpg) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/includes/class_dm_attachment.php(659) : eval()'d code on line 58
      then I attempted to upload it again (without closing or refreshing the attachment window) which it did with no error. it uploaded the main image but didn't create the thumbnail. I tested this with my previous test image (which I renamed first) and I received the same error.

      something definetly isn't working right somewhere....any advice?

      Had you renamed the previous image article?

      I first attempted with a brand new image, that failed to make the thumb, then tried again with the original image renamed, that didn't work either....

      Your thumbs path was incorrect in your settings. Please try again with a new image.

      Thanks, It's now uploading the thumb image in the right place but the article is showing the incorrect path so I get an unfound image error.

      when I view the properties of the image I see:
      /images/vault/thumb/sod.jpg

      when it should be:
      /forums/images/vault/thumb/sod.jpg

      Modify the template: vault_image_box
      And add $vboptions[bburl] to the img URL.

      That did the trick, although it was special_image_box template that I needed to edit

      All working fine now, Thanks for the help.
