      Splash page problem
      Updated to 3.20 on test site cannot access wiki

      We are testing vB4.2.1 in mbtst a subdirectory on our site and the site would not accept posts with VaultWiki enabled. I upgraded the test site to 3.20 which fixed the problem with normal posts. However, the wiki menu entry does not invoke the wiki in the test area but instead switches back to the live site in web root.

      We have a splash page with an image of one of our logos on the page.

      I do not remember what we did to setup the splash page originally but there appears to e a hard coded url somewhere in there.

      You need to adjust the Wiki Base URL setting under VaultWiki: Server Settings to point to your test area.

      Also make sure that the setting Replace Wiki Tab by URL is empty.

      The base url is http://mb.nawcc.org/mbtst and the replace field is empty and was originally.

      When I click on the Encyclopedia link in the nav bar of the test site, it goes to the live site at http://mb.nawcc.org/showwiki.php. If I look at the link at the bottom of the browser window, the Encyclopedia link is shown as http://mb.nawcc.org/mbtst/showwiki.php.

      The behavior strikes me as a problem with .htaccess but I line given by the setupdo not know how to address that. The .htaccess in the mbtst subdirectory is the one from the initial setup

      Code:
      RewriteEngine On
      RewriteBase /mbtst/

      I'm looking at the Encyclopedia link you posted, and both the URL and the navbar link are pointing the correct mbtst pages. I cannot duplicate the issue you are having.

      If I click on the mbtst flavor in my post above it goes to the live site presumably by a redirection in the test site.

      Here is the content of .htaccess in the mbtst directory:
      Code:
      #ErrorDocument 404 /trap404.php

      RewriteEngine On

      RewriteBase /mbtst/
      RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

      RewriteBase /
      RewriteRule ^showwiki.php?title=(.*)$ showwiki/$1 [R=301]
      RewriteRule ^showwiki/(.*)$ showwiki.php?pretty=1 [L,S=1]

      <Files 403.shtml>
      order allow,deny
      allow from all
      </Files>

      Not for me. You might have a problem with the HOSTS file on your PC, or you might have another plugin installed that is causing a redirect and only affects admins.

      As for the .htaccess file, those VaultWiki rules are from 2.5 and are not valid for 3.0.20. Please see: https://www.vaultwiki.org/books/docu...-configuration

      I do n on my pcot have a hosts file. I tried the link with a non-logged on user and with another user. When the splash page displays the browser address line reads: http://mb.nawcc.org/showwiki.php. That happens if I just enter the url manually.

      I thought it was because rewrite base was set twice in the .htaccess file but that had no effect.

      I will disable all the other add-ons.

      I disabled all products except VaultWiki and the problem persists.

      The two pages in question are identical, what distinguishes them is the address line in the browser although I have never seen the one in mbtst.

      I am going out for the mail, so I will check it at myu local public library.

      Indeed it is my browser. Very strange, i will clear the cache and try to find out why it would do a rewrite.
