      Handful of BBCodes not working

It seems like a lot of the BBCodes are not parsing correctly on wiki pages
I was trying to load images with the [file] tag but that didn't work. It would just leave the tag as [file=]Image|Captain[/file].
Additionally, many of my custom BBCodes are not working either. Also, why was the [img] tag removed in wiki pages?

Just checked, seems like HTML is not working either. I did check to see if I had permission to use HTML.

IMG tag was not removed in wiki pages, but you can only use the IMG tag to link to external image resources. The function in vB4 to upload images for use with the IMG tag is problematic in wikis because vB4's upload system is tied to individual users, and wiki pages can be modified by many users. Also vB4's uploads don't support file history. For these reasons, you must upload images for wiki use via the FILE tag.

It looks like most BB-Codes were broken because of code we removed in Alpha 2 build 2 that we thought wasn't doing anything anymore. Apparently it was, and that it only applies on newish installations where certain BB-Code collisions don't occur (in VaultWiki 3 they did).

This is fixed on your install and in the next release. Note that HTML isn't working because you have HTML disabled for the area your article is posted in. Your permissions only apply if HTML is enabled in that area globally. Also, your permissions only apply to wiki comments, not to pages. Since other users can edit wiki pages, everyone would need the same BB-Code/HTML permissions anyway or the HTML would keep breaking every time it gets saved.

Oh I see - didn't realize HTML enabling needed to be done like that.

For the IMG tag, I'm not looking to upload images but simply for the sole purpose of displaying the image, it seems it wont display for external images as well. But if I have to use FILE, I will, but..
I'm completely fine with using the FILE tag, but the only issue for me is that it displays each attachment under the pages in each area. I'm going to end up with a lot of images and by using the FILE tag, it would clog the pages section in an area. I'd like to keep that section for everything BUT Attachments being shown.

You can create a new area for attachments and set the Area options so that it's the only area that allows pages of type Attachment to be saved there.
