      Supress images in getnew

I know this is probably a major pain to implement, but I would find it very useful to have the option to suppress images from appearing in the getnew function result. I post up large numbers of images to the wiki at a time and my users aren't liking the spam generated when they check for new threads since their last visit.

Personally I don't think that images should be considered new threads although I understand why they have been implemented in such a way.

Having said that this can be done by using &exclude=imagesnamespaceid on the getnew links via template edits. This isn't particularly elegant but it does the job.

In the next beta we'll see about removing the images from the new posts results. It is true that we have implemented them as threads, but there are a number of "threads" in the wiki that should not be considered articles: Images, Categories, Special Pages, Templates, Headers, Redirect pages.

These should all be excluded from getnew, as you have pointed out, because their content can tend to be created rather spammily (categories specifically - just create an article and put it in 50 categories that don't exist. Those 50 categories would now be getnew results).

As you can see this issue extends to the core VaultWiki product, so I am moving this issue to the project.

Fixed for all three products. Categories (and children) are excluded. Images (and children) are excluded. In VaultWiki, Templates and Headers (and their children) are excluded, as well as Redirect pages.
