HTML entities in article content

How they are typed in

This seems to be an overarching issue through vBulletin. It is extremely annoying and makes it almost impossible to debug the HTML BB-Code block. HTML entities are not preserved between how they are entered and how they are displayed in the message box when editing later. On top of this, the HTML block cannot agree how many times to HTML encode various entities as opposed to other entities.

This is one of those bugs that makes me hate my life.

Okay, this wasn't quite as terrible as I had assumed. There was an issue where the message area was not always HTML encoded, and that has been corrected.

The HTML block issue I was referring to was actually not a bug in vBulletin or VaultWiki at all, but another conflict with CES Parser Permissions, where it checks for banned HTML tags before the parser even has a chance to HTML the tags. Tags not in the banned tag list function properly. All this requires is an update to CES Parser Permissions.
