      issues after upgrade

      Hi

I am having huge issues with my forum and vaultwiki. Some time in the past, I tried to uninstall vaultwiki (due to not using), all I got was an SQL error didn't bother to do anything as it wasn't affecting the running of forum.

Yesteryda, I upgraded from 4.1x to 4.2 and now, all hell has broken loose.

      Code:
Warning: require_once([path]/vault/class/friendlyurl.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/includes/class_friendly_url.php(287) : eval()'d code on line 1

      Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/unrealkl/public_html/vault/class/friendlyurl.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/unrealkl/public_html/includes/class_friendly_url.php(287) : eval()'d code on line 1
So I reuploaded the /vault/ folder and nothing...

When I disable plugins via config.php site loads fine, I left it over night and I had about 40 spam bots sign up...so if possible could someone help me resolve this issue so that I can re-enable all plugins?

      Thanks in advance

You can disable all plugins related to VaultWiki via vBulletin's Plugin Manager, then remove them one by one.

The vaultwiki is not listed in the plugin list. Is there any other way maybe an SQL command or something to totally uninstall it? As I mentioned above, I had uninstalled it in v4.1.12 and it returned an error but I never paid attention to it since it hadn't caused any issue. Now on upgrade it is throwing out all these errors.

When I do define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); the forum works perfectly however the wiki does not list in the plugin manager...

I would be greatful if you could assist me.

      Thanks

If the plugins don't show up in the plugin manager?(even under the vBulletin product) they are probably deleted and the plugin cache was never rebuilt. Disable any other product you have installed, then reenable it to rebuild the cache.

When I pressed the uninstall button some six months ago, it showed me an error. Throughout those six months, I kept getting db errors relating to it. I didnt keep those. Once I upgraded it totally broke my forum. I believe it didn't uninstall correctly and is now causing issues because it wasn't. I suspect vb thinks the vaultwiki is still installed. It used to show up in the previous install before upgrade but hasn't been since upgrade.

Can I please be told how to manually uninstall it? I have just tried what you suggested, disabled all products manually and then deleted define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); but it still threw me the same error which leads me to believe vaultwiki is still active.

As I suspected and stated above, the mod was still running.

For everyone who's vaultwiki did not uninstall properly. You should go into plugin manager and manually disable ALL under "ces_nwsp_spec"

In the meantime pegasus, I hope you can let me know a way to uninstall the mod properly.

      Thanks

Manually uninstalling VaultWiki is to follow all code in the vault/tools/uninstall.php file (should be relatively readable by humans), PLUS manually remove all template, phrase, plugin, product, productcode, productdependency, contenttype, package, setting, settinggroup, adminhelp, faq from the database (WHERE product = 'ces_nwsp_spec') -- there might be more. vBulletin usually automatically removes these things, but since you had an error six months ago and you didn't report it at the time, I can't tell for sure exactly what needs to be done.

I understand. As I mentioned above though, it was always in the plugins menu and always generated an error when I tried to click uninstall and went totally ape sh*t when I upgraded falling off the plugin list. I'll try and run uninstall.php tonight to see if I get anywhere, failing that I'll have a read through it to see if I can manually remove it.

      Thanks for your assistance
