Multiple users editing at the same time

Is it possible to not delete the content that someone was working on if they preview the page and someone saved their page in the middle of when they were working? Whatever the user was working on during that time seems to be lost.

We can make the editor reload the page with a text comparison. Then you can choose which parts still need changes. This would be ideal to the situation you describe.

Note: WYSIWYG would not be available on this screen, due to issues splitting the text into chunks.

This is implemented in 4.2.x. This applies to various situations, but the most common is as follows:
      1. UserA clicks the Edit tab and starts editing.
      2. UserB clicks the same Edit tab, makes a fast edit, and saves.
      3. UserA finishes their edit, and saves.

In prior versions this would result in an error for UserA. Starting in 4.2.x, UserA now gets a merge form. The form shows differences between the edits and allows UserA to manually tweak their edit based on these differences, or to save as is. Of course, it is possible for new edits to come in while UserA is still merging. In this case, the later user will receive an updated merge form.

For moderated edits that are approved after newer edits have already been made, the moderator performs the merge. This may have been the most complicated part of this feature.

For mass edits, no merge is performed. Usually mass edits are so small that a merge would not be needed; either the replacement's find text is still there or it isn't.

As mentioned above, while merging text, raw BB-Code is shown. WYSIWYG editor features are disabled.
