      Issue with Templates from VBStyles

      I posted the issue here:
      http://www.vbstyles.com/forum/showth...-with-Anamorph

I cannot see the tabs for Vault Wiki:

      http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/wiki/BASE_Wiki:Index

      But other tabs work:
      http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/m.../mknutson.html
The BLiNC 4.0 style is just the standard unedited vb 4 style and the tabs work fine, but are white. Thus when I change to this new style, I cannot see the tabs.

Now unfortunately, they are pointing a finger at the plugin itself, and I am stuck in the middle to determine what is the real issue and where should this be fixed (sorry).
So, I would like to request your thoughts on this and potential fixes for this issue...?

The stylevar forumrow_background seems to be modified in that style even though they aren't using it. Based on the style that they made, it should be set to #FFFFFF.

So are you saying I need to change the forumrow_background sitevar then? Or they do?

Well, you can easily. If they're the ones who modified it, you should also let them know not to, since I don't see that they're using it, at least not as it was intended.

This is what they are saying

That's what I have been saying, that its not the style issue. The plugin designer is using wrong stylevars. The style support doesn't cover plugin support.

Vault Wiki is a plugin developed by someone other than vBulletin and the style is not guaranteed to work with plugins as the plugin developer may use any stylevar he thinks is right but it may not be per the vBulletin norms and hence the issues like this happen. You should ask the plugin developer to fix the issue, if you do not wish to pay me for the fixes.

      Regards,
      Ketan

Wow, regardless of how we used the stylevar... Do they not understand that they modified a default stylevar to make it look black, then neglected to use the stylevar in the normal spot by applying custom CSS instead? Where the stylevar would have been used, they used custom CSS to make it white. This is the reason I said to report it to them, and they should not be charging to fix that. If they aren't using the stylevar, then they shouldn't be touching it, otherwise it should be treated as a bug.

Anyway, as I said, you should be able to easily modify the stylevar yourself.
