      Fail to import MediaWiki
Importer seems to be looking for a non existent "thread" table.

When I try to do an import from our MediaWiki wiki, it is looking
for a "thread" table which does not exist. Also, it doesn't seem to
be using the table prefix of "fs_" as specified in the file.

vB is 4.1.2, MediaWiki is 1.16.0

      Code:
      SHOW COLUMNS FROM thread
      LIKE 'import_page_id';

      MySQL Error : Table 'flight_mwiki.thread' doesn't exist
      Error Number : 1146

That query is designed to access the target (vB) database. If it is querying the wrong database, something is off in one of the config files. If you have edited includes/config.php at all, this is the wrong file. Also, please confirm the version of VaultWiki you are using - the version specified in your report has never been released.

Hmm, beta_mwiki is the MediaWiki Database that it is importing from.
beta_bsvb is the vB database. So I put the mediawiki database access
info into the import config. Naturally vB has its own config. They are
      both currently working.
      VaultWiki version is 3.0.10

Please PM me. I would like to solve this issue directly, if possible, before we release the next patch.

Okay, I see what is happening here. When the source database is on the same MySQL server as the vB database, some MySQL installations only allow a connection to 1 database at the same time per process. Currently we create 2 copies of the database object with different connection settings, but it seems that regardless of which object is used, MySQL accesses the last-opened database. In order to work around this issue, we have to re-select the database every time the query target changes.

      Working on this now.

Fixed for the next release. You should also be able to run the import on your site now.

It looks like you already ran the import? There are 995 pages already. Maybe it didn't
complete? I see articles but they are missing images etc... But thank you! for fixing the problem. 8-)

Something seems to be wrong. I ran the import and there is none of the original organization
applied, many of the pages are displaying html tags, and the images are not showing.
http://beta.beta.com/bswiki will show you our mediawiki wiki. Any idea what is going on?
      Thank you! Rick

To enable MediaWiki syntax support, go to Settings > Options > VaultWiki: Legacy Options > Enable support for Legacy Wiki Markup?
Ideally, for performance, this would only be a temporary measure to make sure your pages are fully imported and will be converted properly.

To get your images and other content, you need to import the Images to your VaultWiki Image namespace, Templates to the Template namespace, etc. You'll need to create these in advance in your Namespace Manager, and make sure the "Special function" is set respectively for each one.

Also, keep in mind that vBulletin has HTML disabled by default. In many cases, HTML will be handled when the syntax is converted (VaultWiki > Wiki Maintenance Tools > Convert Legacy Syntax to BB-Code). For the rest, you should try to find BB-Code alternatives for security reasons. I would wait to run a full syntax conversion until you get all of your pages imported.
