      malformed url to vault directory

      My error logs show many instances of this:
      [Sun Dec 26 02:49:42 2010] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] File does not exist: /public_html/vault, referer: http://www.my-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45852

      Its always the same thread.
      When reviewing the source of the page I see nothing wrong, except and instance of:

      Code:
          <script type="text/javascript">
          <!--
          var VAULT_40X_COMPAT = false;
          //-->
          </script>

      You may have accidentally placed rewrite rules pointing to /vault in your site's root .htaccess file or forgotten to remove them after a previous test. Since there is no /vault folder at the server root, these rules would cause problems. Since the mentioned link actually is never referenced in the HTML output itself, this is the only way I can imagine that the 404 would happen behind the scenes.

      I thought the same, but there is no instance of 'vault' in the .htaccess.

      Please see: http://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/2182/

      As it may be an instance of the base URL not being respected after that error occurs.

      Does the problem go away when you apply the fix for that bug?
