What part of the process is getting the error? What exactly is the error? Sorry but "can't attach files" can mean almost anything from a button not appearing, to the upload failing, to a drag/drop not doing anything, to an invalid id message...

Since attachments were a big part of the 3.0.8 update, they were tested working on vBulletin 4.1.0 PL 2 and vBulletin 3.8.6 PL 1. It's possible that the same fixes didn't do anything for 3.8.6 < vB < 4.1, but I need a little more information to work from.

When I edit a Wiki article and click the Paperclip button and/or the Manage Attachments button, a new window popups up. In the new window I get a permission denied message. My permissions for my Administrator usergroup are all set to Yes for my Wiki sections.

I'm not having any problems with attachments since 3.0.8 on my vB 4.0.8 site. Please check if your wiki forum has custom permissions. If it does, make sure your wiki permissions are set in that forum.

Also, the issue you are describing are the exact symptoms of the bug in < 3.0.8. Make sure that the vault/tab/edit.php dated 12/13 is uploaded to your server. If not, you may not have uploaded all of the files.

Fixed. New installations of VaultWiki have this issue if VaultWiki was installed on vBulletin 4. If VaultWiki was installed on vBulletin 3.8, then vBulletin was upgraded, there is no problem.

Particularly the problem is that VaultWiki's content type is not stored in the database correctly, so vBulletin can't find the special rules for attachments (or search), and returns a generic no-permission error.

I have updated the ZIP to prevent new users from experiencing the issue. Users who already installed fresh on vBulletin 4, and who need this functionality before the next patch is released, would need to follow these steps:
      1. Run the following SQL query against your database:
        Code:
        UPDATE {prefix}package
        SET class = 'VaultWiki'
        WHERE productid = 'ces_nwsp_spec'
      2. Go to Settings > Options > Server Settings and Optimization Options > Disable Content Caching. Set to "Yes" and Save.
      3. Open the Edit tab of any article and click "Manage Attachments".
      4. Go to Settings > Options > Server Settings and Optimization Options > Disable Content Caching. Set to "No" and Save.
